Care Instructions

Please provide all relevant details and instructions when completing your application. Any updates or changes must be sent by email to info@elgatoencasa.com. We cannot accept or guarantee changes made through verbal requests, handwritten notes, or chat messages without full details.

For scheduling, please allow a 2-hour window for dog walks to begin (or a 1-hour window for crated puppies under one year old). For cat visits, please allow a 4-hour window for the start time.

Minimum walks per week

To maintain reliable scheduling for our walkers, we require a minimum commitment of three walks per week or 12 walks per month, scheduled for the same time frame.

Walks are available in 15-minute sessions between 9:30am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), and must be booked at least one week in advance.

For cat care, we require daily visits to ensure consistent feeding, companionship, and safety. We are able to provide every-other-day visits upon request.

If you need less than 12 walks a month or ad hoc walks then please contact us.

Please note that we do not offer group walks — all dog walks are provided on an individual basis for dedicated attention and care.

Canceling or changing your appointment

Cancellation & Adjustment Policy

Late Cancellations
An $8 late fee applies to any service (except Boarding) canceled after 6:00pm the night before.
Same-Day Cancellations
The full price will be charged for any walk or visit cancelled within 2 hours of the scheduled start.
DayCare
$8 fee for no-shows or cancellations made after 8:00am on the same day.
Boarding
$85 fee if cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start.
Adjustments
Any service changes must be requested by 10:00pm the night before and confirmed by us to be valid.

How to Cancel or Adjust Services:

Via the El Gato en Casa website – Log in, select the appointment, then choose edit or cancel.
By Email – Send your request to info@elgatoencasa.com at least 12 business hours before the scheduled walk or visit.
By Phone – Call us during office hours. The same rules and fees apply as online cancellations.

Important: All same-day cancellations, adjustments, or requests must be submitted through elgatoencasa.com. Please wait for confirmation to ensure your request is approved.
